Emmerdale‘s Amy Walsh and EastEnders‘ Toby-Alexander Smith have announced the name of their new baby in a sweet social media post. The couple welcomed their second child earlier this year, revealing that they’d had another daughter.
Since then, the stars have been keeping fans updated on their next chapter of parenthood, and this week, they shared a new Facebook page which will chronicle their “family life”.
“Hello and welcome to Amy & Toby – Family Life,” they wrote in the caption. “We thought we’d start by introducing the newest member of our little family who is already 12 weeks old today.
“Meet Nell Rose Smith. Alongside the beautiful moments, we’ll be sharing a little glimpse into our family life, balancing work and parenthood, and all the chaos in between. Thanks for joining us. Amy & Toby.”
As well as announcing her name, the couple also shared a professionally-shot photo of Nell, sleeping in an adorable knitted outfit. The comment section was filled with fans praising the “gorgeous” name and “beautiful” baby.
Walsh, who plays Tracy Robinson on the soap, gave birth back in March, a week before her exit scenes aired on screen. She confirmed the baby’s arrival by sharing a photo of her little legs, one of which was wrapped in a hospital band.
“This time last week I was heading into established labour. We’ve been in the most magical bubble ever since,” Walsh captioned the Instagram post.
In the following months, the actor has been sharing the highlights of her maternity leave, as the family adjust to their newest addition.
Meanwhile, Smith will reportedly be making his return to EastEnders soon, reprising his role as villain Gray Atkins. The character was last seen in 2022, when he was arrested for killing a number of Walford residents, including his wife Chantelle, who he had been secretly abusing.
