Alexa Havins Just Confirmed What General Hospital Fans Have Hoped for Years!
On General Hospital, the relationship between Lulu Spencer and Dante Falconeri is on the rocks after Dante found out that Lulu was hiding a whopper of a secret from him: their son, Rocco, shot Cullum.
But even as the tension between the former spouses skyrockets, Lulu’s portrayer, Alexa Havins, tells Soap Opera Digest that she’s Team “Lante” all the way!
Dante and Lulu as ‘Endgame’
Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Lulu fell in love, married (and divorced) twice, and became parents to Rocco (Finn Carr) long before Havins assumed the role of Lulu in 2024. When she began playing the part, Dante was reeling from the recent death of his beloved fiancée, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco), who was murdered after undergoing surgery to donate part of her liver to the long-comatose Lulu.
When Lulu did wake up, Dante was technically single but was certainly in no place to explore whatever lingering feelings he may have for his ex-wife. Meanwhile, Lulu just got into — and then just as quickly got out of — her first post-coma romantic entanglement, with the man she believes is Dante’s best friend, Nathan, but who is actually his evil twin, Cassius (Ryan Paevey).
And now, feeling hurt and betrayed over Lulu shutting him out of what was going on with Rocco, Dante is barely speaking to Lulu.
A little over a year and a half later, “I still feel that way!” Havins grins. “Even though Dante and Lulu had scenes where basically, he’s done with me, I’m dead to him, I still feel like there’s still a lot to go, a lot of places to explore.
But in true soap fashion, we can’t just be together and be happy. It’s got to be the long road, right? We’ve got to have some drama in between!”
The GH star believes that the rebirth of a Dante and Lulu romance could be “a beautiful story exploring how after all these detours and heartaches, these two find their way back to each other.
What a sweet story it would be, especially for their child, Rocco, to reunite that family. I don’t know if that’s where they’re going, but I always keep that in the back of my mind — that Dante and Lulu are endgame.”
